My passion for the tech industry started in 2017 when I returned from living overseas and started working for a tech start up company specialising in events software. A few months in I realised, this really is the way of the future. There is literally an app for everything!

4 years later, having worked in quite a few different roles within the company, I decided I needed a new challenge but something still IT related. So, I found an online programming degree and thought, what do I have to lose?

So I did it! And I learnt 4 languages, which for me was a huge achievement. I am now proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript and Python which basically means I can do some cool stuff with code.

But now what? What was I going to do with these new languages? It was peak Covid and a lot of my friends were starting their own businesses and really needed an online presence. Social media is amazing, but it’s quite rare that your social media would be the endpoint for your customer. Usually within your social media there is a link… a link to a website!

It was then that I could see the hefty price tags that come with a website. How could a little side hustle or small business ever afford to have an online presence? From then, I knew I could really help these people and make a difference.
